Honduras Remembers the US-Backed Coup Against Zelaya in 2009

 

On Tuesday, President Xiomara Castro's administration organized a meeting of progressive Latin American political leaders and intellectuals to remember the coup against her husband, Manuel Zelaya, which took place on June 28, 2009.

After the breakdown of the democratic order, thousands of Hondurans remained demanding justice and building the foundations for the return of the people to power.
