Authorities discovered on Thursday 50 tons of food and other types of products like detergent, toothpaste, in the northwestern port of Maracaibo, the second largest city of the country and capital of the state of Zulia.
The discovery comes amid continuing reports of food shortages in the country by international corporate media and Venezuelan opposition groups that seek to portray the South American country in the midst of an economic crisis.
