Upon her arrival in the Russian capital, she was received by the Venezuelan ambassador to Russia Jesus Salazar and by authorities of the Eurasian nation.

"The Russian Energy Week is of vital importance to address issues of global energy balance and cooperation. Venezuela has its own voice in the configuration of a new multipolar world, free of unilateral coercive measures and respectful of international law," Rodriguez stressed

The Bolivarian senior official also recalled that Moscow is the second stop on a trip that took her to Qatar on Monday, where she held a meeting with the emir Tamim bin Hamad al Thani in order to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation.

During the visit to Russia, the Venezuelan delegation hopes to review the cooperation map of the Russia-Venezuela High Level Intergovernmental Commission, which includes more than 335 agreements.

The agreements signed on energy matters were reached as part of the commitment of both countries to work towards the construction of a multipolar world order and the well-being of the most vulnerable peoples.

"The visit will be conducive to the exchange of contributions in the development of the energy sector, with the objective of strengthening cooperation for the benefit of the people," Rodriguez said.

Venezuela and Russia have strengthened bilateral cooperation in different areas since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution in 1999.
