According to the ministry, 5,087 victims are from the Gaza Strip, including 2,055 children, 1,119 women and 217 elderly, and 15,273 injured.

In the last 24 hours, the occupation forces committed 23 massacres, claiming the lives of 436 people, including 182 children, most of whom were from southern Gaza.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, the number of killings rose to 95 with the death of Mahmoud Saif Nakhleh and Muhammad Illyan, on Monday morning, shot dead by the occupation forces in Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah.

The tweet reads, "The number of people killed in Gaza so far is 5,087, including 2,055 children, 1,119 women and 15,273 wounded."

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera television network reported Israeli attacks on residential buildings in the Palestinian towns of Khan Younis and Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. It cited a medical source as saying that 53 people were killed.

Also on Monday, Israel announced that it had struck a Hamas target in the al Shati refugee camp in the Palestinian enclave.

According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, Israeli warplanes fired at least three missiles at several houses in the refugee camp, located in Gaza City, killing and injuring dozens of Palestinians.

Israeli shelling of a house in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City was also reported, injuring several people. Wafa also said seven people were killed in another Israeli airstrike on the town of Beit Lahiya on Monday.

A mosque in the northern Gaza Strip town of Jabalia was also hit by Israeli warplanes, destroying it completely. This brings to more than 31 the number of mosques bombed since the beginning of the escalation between Israel and Hamas.

The Israeli bombings were triggered by a large-scale attack by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) on Israeli military targets and towns on October 7, which has claimed the lives of 1,400 people in Israel to date.
