This is the second time that a Capital Coach Line bus has been attacked by the 400 Mawozo group.

On Friday, the Dominican Republic's Defense Ministry informed that Johan Antonio de la Rosa, who was kidnapped in Haiti on Wednesday, returned to his country.

De la Rosa was driving a Capital Coach Line bus when he was kidnapped at the Croix-des-Bouquets area, which is controlled by the 400 Mawozo armed group.

Twenty nine passengers, who were traveling to Port-au-Prince from the Dominican Republic, were forced to get off the bus and board another vehicle, which ran out of fuel.

Taking advantage of this circumstance, De La Rosa, the bus hostess, and several of the Haitian passengers managed to escape.

The tweet reads: "Crime in Haiti: on Monday night, Canaan gang members wreaked havoc in several towns in the Commune of Croix-des-Bouquets, more precisely in Bon Repos."

The bus hostess, who was shot during the incident, received first aid in Haiti. Later, she was transferred to a center in the Dominican Republic for medical attention.

This is the second time that a Capital Coach Line bus has been attacked by the 400 Mawozo group, which controls the region amid total indifference from the authorities.

For several years, the deterioration of public security in Haiti has facilitated the multiplication of kidnappings and armed conflicts between gangs, which control at least 60 percent of the metropolitan area of Port-au-Prince.
