Zhang Yesui, the spokesperson for the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), announced that the session's opening would be celebrated in Beijing on Saturday morning.

According to Zhang's statements, the Congress is scheduled to end on March 11. The fifth session of the NPC comprises ten items on the agenda, said the spokesperson during a press conference.
He noted that among the documents to be reviewed by the lawmakers, there is the government work report aimed to issue a draft. Further, the papers will be presented to the Organic Law of the Local People's Congresses and Local People's Governments.
A draft decision on the number of deputies to the 14th NPC and their election is included in the documents to be issued and the methods for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and the Macao SAR to elect their deputies to the 14th NPC.
