Russian President Vladimir Putin has saved thousands of lives in the republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, noted Nikolay Azarov, Former Ukrainian Prime Minister.

In response to a request for help from leaders of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), a region facing shelling from Ukraine, Russia launched last February 24 a special military operation aimed at the demilitarization of the territory.

The diplomat disclosed information regarding intelligence data on the preparation of an instigation, followed by a strike destroying the population in Donbass. Along these lines, he expressed his conviction that the attack from Ukraine against Donetsk and Lugansk territory was planned by Kiev together with the U.S.

Nikolay Azarov also remarked that a week before Russia launched its special military operation in Ukraine, forces of the DPR seized a Ukrainian Army map, which explained in detail a large-scale attack on the republics of Donbass.

Furthermore, the former prime minister drew attention to the conviction that NATO was also involved in developing such a plan. He pointed out that 5000 soldiers from the U.S. had been previously deployed in Poland.

They say that there is no Nazism in Ukraine? Wait, there is no Nazism, do you think? Isn't it? Nazism to kill journalists in the street? Isn't it Nazism to discriminate against people based on their political views? And cutting off the water supply to populated areas isn't Nazism?

The Russian President has repeatedly stated that Moscow's special military operation came after leaders from the republics of Donetsk and Lugansk asked Russia for help amid an intensification of Ukrainian Army attacks on their positions and infrastructure.

The President has stated that Russia's moves were intended to protect the Donbass region by demilitarizing Ukraine. He has also said that Russia does not have plans to occupy Ukraine many times. For its part, Russia's Defense Ministry has spotlighted that Russian high-precision strikes are targeting Ukrainian military infrastructure, noting that civilian lives are not being threatened.

Putin stated on Thursday concerning the operation in Ukraine that all the tasks are being successfully implemented. He praised the sacrifice of Russian soldiers who fight loyally, knowing the justice of their cause. Russian troops are trying their best to avoid losing civilian lives in Ukraine; he pointed out.
