Human beings frequently seem to see any other meaning in their natural environment than what serves for immediate use and consumption.

Those are words of the head of the globe’s Catholic population, Pope Francis.

June 18 marked the day that a long-anticipated encyclical on climate change was released by Pope Francis, where he called for immediate action on climate change.

“The destruction of the human environment is extremely serious, not only because God has entrusted the world to us men and women, but because human life is itself a gift which must be defended from various forms of debasement,” said the Pontiff.
