Eyewitnesses said that an Israeli army force raided a refugee camp adjacent to Jenin city, attacked three Palestinians in a car, and killed them.
Three Palestinians were killed and eight injured by Israeli soldiers early Friday during clashes in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, medics and eyewitnesses said.
The killed are Yousef Sallah, Laith Abu Sorour and Bara'a Lahlouh, and three of the eight injured were in critical conditions, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.
Eyewitnesses said that an Israeli army force raided a refugee camp adjacent to the city, attacked three Palestinians in a car and killed them, followed by fierce clashes in the camp between dozens of Palestinians and Israeli soldiers.
Abdulatif al-Qanou'a, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) spokesman in Gaza, accused Israel of assassinating the Palestinians and warned that "the Israeli occupation will be the price for its crimes."
Hundreds of Palestinians gathered outside the governmental hospital in Jenin and shouted slogans that called for revenge against Israel.
"The U.S. must take serious action by applying effective pressure on the Israeli government to stop its crimes and aggression against our people before it is too late and things get out of control," the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) President Mahmoud Abbas said.
Like past occasions, this exhortation could be ineffective. "Israel has killed 69 Palestinians since the start of 2022, including 25 people in Jenin," recalled the Palestinian Info Center.
