IN PICTURES: Ninety years have passed since the Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars, were launched to fanfare the finest films in Hollywood. 

 

As the world's keenest cinema buffs settle in for 2018's night of movie magic on Sunday, a team of photographers gives a glimpse behind the curtain and beneath the red carpet.
