Soccer Solidarity: #RefugeesWelcome in Germany

Soccer fans are often looked down on, or dismissed as racist brutes, but this weekend showed a different sides with a grand show of solidarity for refugees arriving in Europe.

As part of national and local programs to welcome people in Germany, fans at various clubs gave the message "Refugees Welcome" using huge banners, during Bundesliga games.

Borussia Dortmund even invited 220 refugees to watch their Europa League game against Norwegian team Odds Ballklubb, which the German team won 7-2.

British daily The Telegraph reports that Germany has received more refugees than any other country in Europe.
