For months now, Israel has increased raids and arrest operations in the West Bank, often leading to armed clashes with local residents.
On Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces killed a 20-year-old Palestinian man during clashes in the village of Yaba, near the city of Jenin, in northern West Bank.

Rafiq Riyad Ghannam was shot "while he was in front of his house at the time that there were clashes between young men and Israeli soldiers," the WAFA agency reported, noting that the Israeli army retained the victim's body and has not returned it to his family.
In an attempt to justify what happened, the Israeli army argued that its soldiers operated according to arrest procedures, which include "the use of live ammunition against a suspect who was trying to flee the scene."
Israeli authorities maintain that their troops "provided medical treatment to the suspect" and admitted that "the incident is under review."

The death of this Palestinian comes three days after another local youth was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces in the same village on Saturday.
For months now, Israel has increased raids and arrest operations in the West Bank, often leading to armed clashes with local residents. So far this year, at least fifty Palestinians have been killed and hundreds of people have been arrested.
On Tuesday night alone, Israel detained 44 Palestinians at various points in the West Bank, a Palestinian territory that has been occupied by Israel since the 1967 Six-Day War.
#Palestine | The murder took place at 8PM local time in Al-Arroub refugee camp located near the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron.
