The Sao Paulo Public Safety Secretariat stated that the injured people were transported to a hospital but did not provide the exact number of victims or details regarding their conditions.

"A 15-year-old student entered the school with a gun and fired shots... The victim who did not survive his injuries was shot in the head," local outlet G1 reported.

The text reads, "The Military Police responds to an incident with firearm shots inside a public school in Sapopemba, in the eastern zone of Sao Paulo, on the morning of Monday the 23rd. According to the police, three people were wounds."

"Two other people were injured in the chest and collarbone. A fourth student was injured while trying to escape during the attack," it added.
