Minister Dominguez stated that officials were trying to get the blaze, which he believes was the work of saboteurs, under control as soon as possible.

"At the moment they are trying to put out the flames, the teams of the National Electric Corporation (Corporelec) are heading to the site to accelerate the restoration of the electric service," the social media statement read.

“This terrorist action affects a large part of the capital region,” the minister said.

Domínguez also remarked, through his Instagram account (@lmottad), that electricity service would be restored within four to five hours.
