The leaders of the failed attack are Henryberth Rivas, aka Morfeo; Angela Lisbeth Esposita, known as "La Perrera;" and a retired colonel, nicknamed "Corocoro," who were captured on Sept. 22 by state security agencies.

The minister said that Venezuela continues to search for two people known as "Pastor" and "Latino" in connection with the failed terrorist attack against President Maduro.

In his confession, Morfeo said he met with a Colombian migration chief who allowed him to go freely to the country. Rodríguez said that "the confession of Morfeo is a confession very similar to that of deputy Juan Requesens, who points out the official who let him cross the border several times."

"Did the Colombian authorities know that they had a terrorist group training in Chinácota for six months ?" the minister asked. "It is very important that the officials of the Republic of Colombia deny or explain what participation the government of Juan Manuel Santos had in organizing this attack against President Maduro."

In turn, his confession also determined the involvement of the governments of Mexico and Chile, since the criminals implicated officials of the diplomatic missions of those countries in the escape plans of the alleged participants in the failed attack.

"The Chilean embassy has to explain why a criminal perpetuating such a violent act has going to the Chilean embassy as their first instruction," the minister said.

After giving further details on the how the capture took place, as well as communications between the suspects, the minister said the authorities have evidence that leads them to believe that opposition leader Julio Borges was the mastermind behind the assassination attempt against Maduro. "It is established that these people are directly linked to Julio Borges," Rodríguez said adding that sources close to Borges claimed that he was attempting to help Morfeo flee the country.

"Borges lives in Bogota and there he plans all the criminal actions against Venezuela. Osman Alexis Delgado Tabosky, who coordinated all the actions, is located in the state of Florida in the USA of North America."

Rodriguez said that with the three new arrests there are a total of 28 detainees. The prosecution has said that at least 43 people are involved in the explosion of drones.
