A person has been killed and three others injured at the scene of a shooting at Freeman High School in the U.S. state of Washington. Those injured in the attack were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital, according to the Daily Mail.

The shooting occured in the small town of Rockport, Washington, just south of Spokane city, at roughly 10 a.m. local time. Students used their Twitter accounts to post images of classmates on the floor.
Speaking on behalf of the Spokane Fire Department, Brian Schaeffer stated that one person had died in the shooting. County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich confirmed that the shooter had been detained, according to the Spokesman-Review.
"The high school is completely cleared of kiddos and teachers and staff and now the process begins for us to look at the investigative part of this and what happened" Spokane Police Department spokesperson Teresa Fuller said.
"That's going to take us some time."
