In another day of protests marking the March of Return, Israeli forces have killed Palestinian demonstrators. The Israeli authorities stated that at least 15,000 demonstrators protested on the border between Gaza and Israel, "hurling rocks" at Israeli armed forces troops guarding the fence.

Four out of the seven Palestinians killed this Friday, were shot dead in a single incident when they managed to breach the security fence at the border. Around 140 others were wounded and three more were killed in the protests near the fence.

Israeli spokesman, Lt. Col Jonathan Conricus tweeted on Friday that one group had "detonated a bomb on the Israel-Gaza border fence", which allowed people to go through the border fence.

Around 200 Palestinians have been killed in the demonstrations of the March of Return; a series of protests that began on March 30th, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

Gaza has been under Israeli blockade since 2007 putting the region’s population of more than two million Palestinians into a humanitarian crisis due to the lack of access to medicine, food, clean water, and free movement, as well as basic civil rights. Palestinian protesters are demanding an end to the Israeli and Egyptian blockade and also seek the right to return to lands that Palestinians were driven from upon Israel's founding in 1948.
