The meeting aims to blueprint a path towards prosperity for the 56 member states of the OIC under the theme "50 Years of Islamic Cooperation: Road Map for Prosperity and Development."
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be hosting the 46th Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Friday and Saturday. The CFM will also include the celebration for the OIC's 50th anniversary, which takes place later this year.

Venezuela's Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza is scheduled to make an appearance, and will also reportedly address the event. The meeting aims to blueprint a path towards prosperity for the 56 member states of the OIC under the theme "50 Years of Islamic Cooperation: Road Map for Prosperity and Development."
The session will be inaugurated by the host country's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Sayed Al-Nahyan.
Among the present member states is secretary-general of the OIC Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, as well as five other observer states.

The main topics on the agenda include the conflict between Palestine and Israel, combating terrorism, Islamophobia, religious freedom, and Muslim status in non-OIC countries.
The conference will also include discussions on economic development and science and technology.
