Nicaraguan Bishops Conference Calls for Dialogue Table

During the Plenary Meeting, the proposals of President Daniel Ortega will be announced to later be debated to reach a consensus.

The Bishops' Conference of Nicaragua has convened a new Dialogue Table for June 15, in which they will table the proposal sent by President Daniel Ortega.

After the bishops delivered a document to the Nicaraguan president with proposals for dialogue on Wednesday they convened a National Dialogue Plenary Roundtable to inform the national and international community of the president's response in order to debate it and seek consensus.

The Dialogue Table is scheduled for June 15 at 10:00 am local time, at the Seminary of Our Lady of Fatima.

They also thanked the Nicaraguan people for trusting them to mediate in a process of dialogue to build peace, justice and freedom in the country. "

"We ask the faithful to continue to pray for us and for our entire country," the statement issued by the bishops concluded.
