According to the polls, AMLO's approval rate in November 2018 stood at 61.6 percent, now shortly before the first 100 days of the government of AMLO, his approval rate is 67.1 percent in February 2019.

According to the results of the survey, it was revealed that most citizens consider there to be an improvement regarding the economy, crime and the political situation in Mexico. The survey questioned citizens on their approval, in February, on 12 actions that have been implemented by the newly sworn-in president.

The measure implemented by AMLO that has gathered the most approval, with 80.7 percent, is cutting the large pensions given to former presidents of the country. Regarding security, in 2017 only 16 percent of the population thought that things were getting better. In February 2019 this rate grew to 36 percent of the population. Regarding the economic question, the percentage passed in the same period from 18 percent to 46 percent.

According to the data provided, AMLO's approval grew 4.5 percent points, the only president that has managed to obtain a better rate is Vicente Fox at the beginning of his term (2000-2006), which broke 70 uninterrupted years of Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) government rule.

Leftist Mexican President AMLO has been implementing a series of popular measures to improve living standards for the most deprived sections of society. Only Ernesto Zedillo, Vicente Fox and AMLO saw their approval rates going up, all the other presidents saw an early drop in approval shortly after assuming office.
