“I can’t reveal anything about the whereabouts of the stone, how it’s being kept and how much I paid for it," said the owner.

A 794 pound emerald stone that stands 4.3. feet high was unearthed in the Carnaiba Mine in the Brazilian state of Bahia last month. The sheer size of the rock required a forklift truck to hoist its cluster of jewels.

Metro reported that this stone has only a single competitor in the world in regard to the density of crystals found in it. The ownership of the other massive stone was disputed between Brazil and the United States in court.

Amid Brazil's socio-economic disaster cultivated by a minority political-big-business class, the new emerald stone find has a single owner. He's known only by his initials, FG. The mystery individual stated that the emerald's “considerable size” and “the quality of of its gigantic crystals” made it truly unique.

Mr. FG, a mining magnet with 30 years experience, and fearing that his precious stone, nor himself, would be secure in a country that's been given the shaft, has resorted to hiring armed guards to protect the "massive" stone.

“I can’t reveal anything about the whereabouts of the stone, how it’s being kept and how much I paid for it. All I can say is the stone is being moved frequently from secure location to secure location under armed guard. I cannot take any chances with my family’s lives by keeping the stone in one place where it could be found,” he said.

The keeper emphasized that the find was a “majestic and beautiful moment. This stone has emerald beryls spread all over it. Their quality is superb and by far the best I’ve ever seen”

FG concluded that buyers from Europe, the Arab Emirates, India and China are all interested in acquiring the precious stone.
