"I instructed the IDF to continue the massive attacks against the terrorist elements and the large number of armored, artillery and infantry forces around the Strip," Netanyahu said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Sunday that he has instructed his country's armed forces to continue their massive attack on the Gaza Strip, Arutz Sheva reported.

"I instructed the IDF to continue the massive attacks against the terrorist elements and the large number of armored, artillery and infantry forces around the Strip," Netanyahu said. "Hamas bears responsibility for its actions, but also for the activities of the Islamic Jihad and pays a very heavy price."

Netanyahu then offered his condolences to the family of an Israeli citizen that was killed by rocket fired from Gaza on Saturday. "On behalf of all the citizens of Israel, I wish to send condolences to the family of Moshe Agadi, a father of four who was murdered by a rocket in Ashkelon. At this difficult hour, I would like to strengthen his family and wish for speedy and complete recovery for the wounded. May his memory be blessed."

The Israeli Armed Forces claimed they targeted more than 230 sites in Gaza since Saturday; this has resulted in the death of several Palestinians. Among the Palestinians killed by the Israeli forces on Saturday was a pregnant woman - Israel alleges she was killed by Palestinian rocket.

Israel has blamed Hamas for the recent escalation and has already begun to amass troops along the border of Gaza.
