This is the second car bomb attack that took place in Aden over the past month. On Nov. 14, a suicide bomber detonated a vehicle full of explosives near a camp used by Yemeni security forces in the Mansoura district, leaving six police officers dead and more than 25 injured.
The city of Aden became the provisional capital of the government claimed by Saudi-allied former president Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi in 2015.
