His newly-former employer, LATAM airlines, released an official statement saying that it “vehemently repudiates any type of offense or discriminatory practice and reinforces that any opinion that contradicts the respect does not reflect the values and the principals of the company. From this assumption, the company informs that it has taken the applicable measures in accordance with its code of ethics and conduct.”

The video, which was posted on social media platforms, shows at least three Brazilians embarrassing women who do not understand the Portuguese language and encouraging them to repeat sexists and derogatory phrases.

At least four videos involving Brazilian football fans attending this year's World Cup have surfaced. Most involve groups of men encouraging women and in one case a young boy, all of whom don't understand Portuguese, to repeat derogatory, sexists and homophobic phrases and chants.

In one video a group of men encouraged a Russian woman to join in a celebratory chorus hat she was led to believe to be just a team song or something of the sort. She was, however, repeating a chant about the color of a female's genital organs.

Two of the men in the video have been identified. They include Eduardo Nunes, a military policeman from the state of Santa Catarina, and Diego Valenca Jatoba, a former Minister of Tourism, Sport and Culture of the city of Ipojuca (Pernambuco).

In another video, a Brazilian man encourages a young boy to repeat homophobic phrases.
