Minister Cabello, who took office on February 2, provided an initial report on her work since assuming the role. The two officials reviewed a strategy to stimulate growth in the tourism sector and draw additional investment, both nationally and internationally.
According to official figures, during 2025 Venezuela recorded the arrival of 3,443,963 people from abroad, representing a 44% increase compared to 2024.
In 2025, the country also took part in 17 international tourism fairs, showcasing its cultural and natural attractions while building partnerships with emerging markets.
Venezuela’s economic growth dramatically outperformed its regional peers in 2025, with ECLAC estimating a GDP increase of 6.5%. The UN body attributed this surge to a revival in domestic demand and consumer spending, which fueled a rebound in industry and commerce.
According to the same report, projections for 2026 maintain a positive trend, with expected growth of 3%.
