All flights are conducted in strict accordance with international rules, the Defense Ministry stated.
On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry informed that Tu-95MS strategic bombers from its aerospace forces carried out a patrol mission over neutral waters of the Sea of Japan.

In a message posted on Telegram with an accompanying video, Russian authorities said the bombers were escorted by Su-35 and Su-30SM fighter jets during a mission that lasted more than six hours.
“All flights of Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft are conducted in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace,” the Ministry emphasized.
Tuesday’s patrol mission was the second in less than 24 hours. The day before, Russian strategic bombers also conducted an operation over the waters of the Barents Sea.
Russia’s strategic aviation fleet — including Tu-160, Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3 bombers — regularly patrols neutral waters in the Arctic, the North Atlantic, the Black and Baltic seas, the Pacific Ocean and other areas. These flights have not been interrupted by the war in Ukraine.
Also on Tuesday, authorities said Russian forces carried out a group strike on a Ukrainian oil refinery that supplies fuel to Ukrainian troops in the Donbas region.
The raid involved long-range precision weapons as well as combat drones, the Defense Ministry said, adding that the strike achieved its objective and the designated targets were hit.
