Lebanon’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center said that a strike targeting a civil defense team in the city of Nabatieh killed two paramedics and wounded a female medic while they were trying to rescue an injured person who later died.

In a statement, Lebanon’s Public Health Ministry called the attack “additional evidence of Israel’s violation of international humanitarian law and disregard for international norms.”

An overnight airstrike on a house in the village of Kfardounine killed six and wounded seven. In a separate incident, a drone strike on a vehicle in the town square of Doueir killed three residents who were transporting a wounded person injured in an earlier strike to a hospital.

Another drone strike on a motorcycle near Tyre killed a Syrian national and wounded his wife. Strikes on the town of Jibchit killed three more and wounded four others.

In the village of Deir Mimas, an Israeli force infiltrated overnight and planted explosives at a solar-powered water pumping station. The facility was detonated in the morning, causing extensive damage.

Israeli forces also blew up multiple houses in the city of Bint Jbeil. In response, Hezbollah said that it launched rockets and drones targeting Israeli soldiers near the border.

The violence came despite a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon that took effect at midnight between April 16 and 17, following weeks of intensified cross-border fighting linked to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran. As of May 12, the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 2,882, with 8,768 injured.
