Tehran says stability will be set on its terms after joint US-Israel strikes.
Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff has rejected U.S. claims of diplomatic progress, issuing a direct message to President Donald Trump and disputing Washington’s characterization of recent developments.
A spokesperson 5 an ‘agreement’,” the official said, adding that the United States would not regain returns on its regional investments or restore previous energy price levels.
The statement stressed that any future stability in the region would be defined by Iran’s conditions and enforced by its military. “Until the right time for our will arrives, nothing will return to what it was before. This will only become reality when the idea of acting against the Iranian nation has been completely erased from their filthy minds,” the spokesperson said.
The remarks follow a joint military operation carried out by Israel and the United States at dawn on February 28, described by both governments as an effort to eliminate threats from the Islamic Republic.
The strikes killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior officials, including Basij commander Gholamreza Soleimani, Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani, and Intelligence Minister Esmaeil Khatib.
Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Supreme Leader, was subsequently designated as his successor. Iranian military authorities maintain that the regional balance has shifted and that future developments will unfold under Tehran’s terms.
