Acting President Receives José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero at Miraflores Palace

The acting president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, received former Spanish President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero this Friday in Office 1 of Miraflores Palace. This visit is part of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, which strengthens brotherhood, dialogue, solidarity, and the Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace currently underway in the country.

It is worth noting that Zapatero participated today in a session of the Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace, where he was accompanied by the program’s general coordinator, Ernesto Villegas Poljak, with whom he shared his opinions and experiences on the subject.
The launch of this program was carried out by the Acting President on January 23rd, during the inaugural ceremony held in the Sol del Perú Hall. She explained that the team would be coordinated by the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas Poljak, and Professor Ana María San Juan, who would serve as executive secretary, among other authorities who would assume different responsibilities.
The Program for Democratic Coexistence and Peace was conceived with a patriotic and anti-colonialist spirit, and is aimed at strengthening stability, social harmony, and political dialogue in the country. The Venezuelan Acting President stated at the time that the Bolivarian Government remains committed to working continuously to guarantee the creation of spaces for dialogue through this program.
Furthermore, it is important to mention that for this “new political moment”, the promotion of a General Amnesty Law was also announced by the Acting President, who also thanked the National Assembly this Thursday from the state of Bolívar for the approval in the first discussion of this legal regulation for peace and for national reconciliation.
