Venezuela calls for continued international mobilization for Palestine

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela urged the international community on Monday, October 13, to maintain global mobilization until a just and lasting peace is achieved for the Palestinian people, within the framework of the progress in negotiations between the Hamas movement, the Palestinian authorities and the Israeli government.

Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto released the official statement through his Telegram channel, where the Venezuelan government stressed that the current dialogue process has been possible thanks to diplomatic pressure and the solidarity of the peoples of the world, who have reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian cause as a common cause of humanity.
The text stresses that the negotiations are taking place after months of devastation in the Gaza Strip, where, according to data cited by Venezuela, more than 65,000 people, mostly women, children and civilians, lost their lives as a result of Israeli bombardment, which constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
The communiqué reiterates that the Venezuelan Government considers it essential that the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council be fully complied with, in particular those that demand the withdrawal of the occupation forces from the territories invaded in 1967 and the creation of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Venezuela maintains that true peace can only be achieved through the effective application of international justice, with the investigation and prosecution of those responsible for war crimes and human rights violations committed against the Palestinian population.
Caracas also highlighted the role of international popular mobilization and global diplomacy, including that of Arab and Muslim states and peoples, as determining factors in advancing towards a just and lasting solution.
The Venezuelan Government concluded by reaffirming its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and its commitment to accompany, in all multilateral spaces, the struggle for a peace based on sovereignty, dignity and respect for international law
