Iranian Leader praises Raisi’s legacy as model of struggle and compassion.

On Wednesday, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, delivered remarks on the anniversary of the death of former President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on May 19, 2014, in the mountainous region of East Azerbaijan province.

“The unfinished presidency of Martyr Raisi established a standard of hard struggle and compassion for the nation and the country, while maintaining the country’s independence. Spirituality was rooted in the very depths of the martyred President Raisi’s being,” he recalled.

“Among the most distinctive qualities of Martyr Raisi were his sense of responsibility, youth-oriented approach, dedication to justice, active and constructive diplomacy, and being with the people. These were a source of encouragement for the fighters in the powerful Resistance Front, as well as many of the well-wishers of the Islamic system,” Khamenei added.

The Iranian leader called on civilian and military officials to commit to leading their country and restoring hope at a time when the Persian nation is under intense external pressure. Besides honoring the legacy of political and religious figures, Khamenei praised the Iranian people’s struggle against two global terrorist forces: Israel and the United States.

“He stated that from Motahhari, Beheshti, Rajai, and Bahonar, to Raisi, Al-Hashem, Amir-Abdollahian, and Larijani, these individuals have decorated the registry of sincere and jihadist service with their own bloody signatures,” Roya News reported.

“Khamenei placed special emphasis on the governance model of the late President Ebrahim Raisi, outlining the specific traits that defined his tenure. He noted that among the most prominent characteristics of the martyred Raisi were his high sense of responsibility, his focus on youth-driven leadership, his dedication to justice, and his execution of an active and beneficial diplomacy,” it added.

The Iranian Supreme Leader praised Raisi’s connection with the people, noting that positive conduct fosters mutual appreciation between public officials and the society they serve.

In describing the current geopolitical landscape, Khamenei emphasized his people’s monumental struggle and resistance against imperialist aggression.
