The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on Thursday called on citizens to participate in the National Popular Consultation on November 23, a process designed for communities to directly choose the projects to be executed in their territories.
During the broadcast of “Jueves de Comuna” from the Parque Caiza Rural Tourist Commune, in the Caucagüita parish, the head of state urged active participation in what he described as “direct democracy elections” and the fourth consultation of this type to be held in the country during 2025.

“I invite, Sunday, November 23, to the elections of the community, so that you can choose your two projects, so that the community continues to build its present and project the future,” said the president at the working day.
During his speech, the head of state assured that nothing will disturb the peace of the nation and called on the population to defend sovereignty: “No one is going to take us off the path of producing, working, building, direct and true democracy, and the perpetual peace, blessed of Venezuela. Nothing and no one is going to take us out of our center and our truth,” said the president.
The host commune of the event, made up of 2,406 families organized in five Communal Councils, defined in a previous assembly the seven projects that will be put to a vote, a process that was accompanied by representatives of the Bolivarian Government.
On the other hand, Maduro condemned the vision of the decadent North American empire, which he said is considered superior to the Latin American and Caribbean people. “They believe they are superior to us, the Colombians, the Mexicans, the Brazilians, the Venezuelans… they believe that life is a movie, where they, the supremacists, ‘Rambo’, win everything, and we are the bad guys.”
The president highlighted the role of youth and the need for them to “seize, take possession, of the sacred flame of the homeland, of the immortal spirit of Venezuela and of the Bolivarian ideal.” Recalling “that there is still much to be done”.
He also called for the empowerment of People’s Power, calling on militiamen, mothers, workers and the entire population to act in “perfect union, creator of new realities.”
He also recalled Commander Hugo Chávez: “This is not a man, Chávez said it, it is a people,” likewise, he reiterated, in the popular call, “everyone must have that security, because it is not Maduro, it is a people in perfect union, a vibrant and rebellious people, creator of new realities,” the president stressed.
Meanwhile, he called on the population to defend peace and said “there are enough people and mountains here to fight and win peace with the truth.” “Venezuela has enough balls and ovaries, with a people willing to fight and win peace, with the truth,” the president stressed.
