With his participation, Milei will complete his 15th official trip to the United States since his inauguration in December 2023. He will also travel to New York in March to participate in Argentina Week 2026.

In January, he stated that “the world has begun to regain its sanity” thanks to Trump and his initiative. Milei highlighted the creation of the Board of Peace, describing it as a “fundamental step” toward an international organization that guarantees “global peace.”

The council aims to oversee a 20-point plan to “end the war” between Israel and Hamas. The White House reported that 35 heads of state have agreed to participate in the board, including Azerbaijan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Albania, Belarus, and Kosovo.

From Latin America, Argentina, El Salvador, and Paraguay joined Trump’s organization. Recently, Israel also joined the group, although Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not be attending to the inauguration.

Trump will preside over a regional summit on March 7 in Miami with Milei, Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz, Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, Honduran President Nasry Asfura, and Paraguayan President Santiago Peña.

The White House’s new national security strategy seeks to counter China’s growing influence in Latin America by strengthening political and diplomatic alliances.
