Israeli military forces killed at least eight Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, including three humanitarian workers operating a community charity kitchen for displaced families in Deir al Balah, as daily armed operations continue despite a ceasefire that has been in place since October 2025.

The attack on the charity kitchen also left several civilians seriously wounded. The Al‑Aqsa Martyrs Hospital morgue identified the three aid workers as Ahmed Salem Abu Asad, 34‑year‑old Abderramán Ahmad Mohamad Muhaysín, and 35‑year‑old Ibrahim Rayan.

Palestinian resistance group Hamas condemned the bombing as a deliberate war crime and part of an ongoing genocide, while the Palestinian Health Ministry reported six deaths in the enclave over the previous 24 hours.

Separately, an Israeli drone strike near a police station in the southern city of Khan Younis killed one Palestinian and wounded two others, according to Nasser Hospital. The Israeli army said it had targeted an armed Gazan who posed an “imminent threat” to troops near the so‑called “yellow line.” Under Israeli rules of engagement, soldiers may fire if they feel threatened — a policy that has led to frequent civilian casualties along the demarcation zone.

Local authorities also reported a nighttime strike on a vehicle in Gaza City that killed two people. These attacks follow a large‑scale Israeli bombing last Friday in the Rimal neighborhood that killed seven people, including Hamas military leader Izz al Din Al Haddad, his wife, and one of his daughters.

Since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli fire has killed between 871 and 875 Palestinians, among them more than 300 children, women, and the elderly, with an additional 2,562 wounded. Israel has violated the truce on over 2,800 occasions, according to Palestinian sources, while systematically blocking the entry of humanitarian aid.

Since the escalation began on October 7, 2023, total Palestinian deaths in Gaza have reached between 72.700, including more than 20,000 minors.
