Israeli forces advanced beyond the Litani River for the first time since 2006, surrounding the key southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh in preparation for a possible assault while continuing an aerial campaign that has wounded two Lebanese soldiers, killed at least one paramedic, and damaged a hospital, as Hezbollah retaliated with rockets and ambushes.
Lebanese military sources said Zionist troops pushed north of the Litani River, which Tel Aviv has declared the perimeter of its illegal “buffer zone.” The Lebanese army reported that two soldiers were seriously wounded when a hostile Israeli drone struck their vehicle near Nabatieh.

Later Saturday, the National News Agency said at least one paramedic was killed and four others wounded in an Israeli drone strike on the village of Jebchit, which also damaged the Lebanese Rescue Hospital.
Nabatieh, a majority‑Shia city, is a key economic and cultural hub for southern Lebanon and a historic symbol of resistance on the front line of Israeli attacks.
In retaliation, Hezbollah fired rockets at the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona and ambushed Israeli soldiers near Ghandouriyeh in southern Lebanon, forcing them to withdraw. Other attacks included a drone strike on the Israeli army command headquarters in the Lebanese village of Naqoura and a missile barrage targeting Israeli military infrastructure in the northern Israeli city of Nahariyya.
