The Government of Iran officially denied on May 31, foreign media rumors regarding the resignation of President Masoud Pezeshkian, reaffirming his total commitment to the sovereign nation.

The head of the Government Information Council of Iran, Elias Hazrati, rejected the false claims concerning the head of state on Sunday. Hazrati declared that President Masoud Pezeshkian is completely focused on performing his constitutional duties.

The official characterized these speculative reports as a failed attempt to generate division and damage national unity, which represents a strategic pillar of the Islamic Republic to defeat external aggression from the United States and Israel.

The presidential assistant for Public Relations, Mehdi Tabatabaei, and Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani also confirmed the continuity of the President.

Through a public statement on the social network X, Tabatabaei criticized a foreign television network for spreading baseless gossip, describing the reports as a continuation of ridiculous media campaigns. The official pointed out that these networks publish their desires instead of objective reality. He added that the Iranian nation will not abandon its path of solidarity and resistance against imperialist pressure.

In a parallel statement, the spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani denounced the systematic efforts to undermine the domestic cohesion of Iran. Mohajerani stated that foreign adversaries constantly propagate their own wishes disguised as real facts to confuse the public, confirming that during a recent cabinet meeting, the President reaffirmed his absolute commitment to serving the population and protecting the supreme interests of the country.

Local media in Iran reported that President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the cabinet directly to clarify his political stance. The President stated that he is in place and ready for any circumstance, expressing his determination to continue his work or face martyrdom for the nation. Pezeshkian emphasized that his life carries no more value than the legacy of previous martyred leaders who defended Iranian sovereignty.

To demonstrate his active involvement in national administration, the president attended a prominent public event this Sunday. Additionally, on Saturday, Pezeshkian led a specialized high-level conference focused on the management of the water crisis affecting the country. During this working session, the head of state urged public sectors to implement a modern agricultural system based on scientific knowledge and advanced technologies. He called on technical ministries to study the successful experiences of leading countries to optimize national irrigation methods.

The Iranian President also highlighted the critical necessity of increasing public awareness regarding groundwater preservation. Pezeshkian noted that farmers and water users must receive precise scientific information about the irreversible ecological damage caused by unauthorized well drilling and excessive extraction of aquifers.

This wave of unverified reports distributed by hegemonic media occurs during a sensitive geopolitical context. Iran currently participates in indirect ceasefire negotiations with the United States, facilitated by regional mediators such as Pakistan. These diplomatic dialogues aim to secure a lasting cessation of hostilities and establish stable regional security agreements. Despite external media pressure, state officials reaffirmed that the administrative structure remains fully consolidated to protect national interests.
