The resistance group Hamas condemned the brutal crime carried out by Israel on Sunday, in which a team of Al Jazeera journalists in the Gaza Strip were killed — including well-known Palestinian reporter Anas Al Sharif — stating that the Zionist entity intended to “silence his media voice” in order to “carry out massacres out of the sight of the world.”

In a communique, Hamas said his killing in a targeted attack on the tent they occupied near Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City “surpasses all limits of fascism and criminality.”
The number of journalists killed in the Israeli offensive in Gaza — which will mark two years in October — has now reached 237, according to Hamas, which describes it as “the broadest attack on journalists seen in any war.”
Hamas said that Al Sharif “was a model of a free journalist who documented the crime of starvation and showed the world the scenes of famine imposed by the occupation on our people in Gaza.”
In the statement, Hamas claims that “the killing of journalists and the intimidation of those who remain paves the way” for Israel’s planned takeover of Gaza City — a plan approved last Friday by the Tel Aviv’s regime, which involves the displacement of one million people from the Gazan capital.
