Poland to ban Zionist Security Minister Ben-Gvir from entering the country.

On Thursday, Turkish broadcaster NTV reported that a Türkiye-chartered plane departed from Israel’s Ramon Airport carrying Global Sumud Flotilla activists who were seized by Israeli occupation forces while sailing in international waters toward Gaza.

Most of the 430 activists are expected to be deported through Ramon, an airport located near Ketziot Prison, where they had remained detained since Wednesday.

Three planes operated by Turkish Airlines will transport the pro-Palestinian activists from about 40 countries to Istanbul, including 44 Spaniards and 74 Turkish citizens.

Two South Korean citizens were deported directly without being taken to prison, while another Israeli citizen was taken to appear before a judge in Ashkelon. Some activists are expected to leave overland through Jordan or Egypt.

Several European countries have summoned Israeli ambassadors in their territories to protest the humiliating treatment of Global Sumud Flotilla activists by Tel Aviv, which was displayed in a video by the Zionist Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

He visited the Ashdod port, where 430 activists were being held while handcuffed, crowded together and kneeling face down on the ground, to celebrate the incident through the release of a video in which he appears smiling and waving the Israeli flag while welcoming and mocking the Flotilla activists.

On Thursday, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski requested that the Interior Ministry ban Ben-Gvir from entering Polish territory after summoning Israel’s charge d’affaires over the treatment of Global Sumud Flotilla activists.

Diplomat Maciej Wewior explained that Polish citizens detained by Israel have already been released and are on their way to the airport in Türkiye. Regarding the meeting with Israel’s charge d’affaires in Warsaw, he said it was “very brief” and that the Israeli side “offered no apology” for the mistreatment suffered by the European activists.

Earlier, the Polish foreign minister ordered the summoning of Israel’s charge d’affaires to convey the Polish government’s “indignation” and to “demand an apology for the extremely inappropriate behavior of Ben-Gvir.

“We demand the immediate release of Polish citizens and that they be treated in accordance with international standards. The fact that the Foreign Affairs Ministry advised Polish citizens against traveling to Israel and Palestine does not mean we accept violations of their rights and dignity,” Sikorski stated.

The incident deepens the diplomatic crisis between Warsaw and Tel Aviv, which escalated after the death in April 2024 of Damian Sobol, a Polish aid worker with the nongovernmental organization World Central Kitchen, in an Israeli attack on a humanitarian convoy in Gaza.

His death, which Israel attributed to a “misidentification error,” prompted then-Polish President Andrzej Duda to describe Israel’s diplomatic conduct as “outrageous.”

So far, Poland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Spain have categorically rejected the actions of the senior Israeli official.
