Venezuelan Acting President Delcy Rodríguez on Wednesday condemned what she called a campaign of falsehoods surrounding international health donations, unveiled video evidence of a $2 million U.S. medical shipment that has received official certification, and renewed the government’s demand for the lifting of sanctions against Venezuela.
The denunciation came during a ceremony broadcast by live satellite links to multiple parts of the country, in which Rodríguez oversaw the delivery of medical supplies and the reopening of the Negro Primero Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI) in the Caricuao district of Caracas.

Rodríguez played a video documenting the reception of a donation from the United States government, valued at $2 million and consisting of antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, steroids, vitamins, gauze, gloves and face masks. Medicines received from the U.S., the United Arab Emirates and Brazil, she said, now carry official certification and are being distributed through the national hospital network.
Flanked by Sectoral Vice President for Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health Isabel Iturria and Health Minister Carlos Alvarado, the acting president reaffirmed the government’s commitment to public health. The reopening and supply deliveries form part of the National Health and Life Plan 2026, which Rodríguez launched early this year.
Minister Alvarado noted that the Negro Primero CDI is the 273rd of 350 centers scheduled for reopening over the past three years. Beyond medical care, the renovated facility now includes a multipurpose room for students of the Hugo Chávez Frías University of Health Sciences, combining clinical service with professional training.
Rodríguez wrapped up the event by insisting that the certified international donations, presented in detail, debunk what she characterized as a deliberate disinformation campaign, while she once again called for an end to the sanctions that harm the Venezuelan people.
