The Head of State, emphasizing his characteristic diplomatic prudence, noted that the conversation took place in silence and away from microphones.

“If this call signifies that steps are being taken toward a respectful dialogue between states, between countries, then welcome to the dialogue, welcome to diplomacy, because we will always seek peace,” he stated.

He asserted that the people of the United States are tired of endless wars and bear the scars of such conflict in their collective psyche, leading them to reject any armed conflict. He also recalled his visits to the United States, stating that he is familiar with several cities and iconic landmarks, and therefore reaffirms the Venezuelan people’s willingness to engage in dialogue.

“I believe that the path for the people of the United States and the people of Venezuela must be one of respect, diplomacy, and dialogue,” he emphasized, guaranteeing his commitment to prudence and the pursuit of a future of peace, independence, and dignity for the Bolivarian nation.
