Acting President Delcy Rodríguez and U.S. officials assess humanitarian coordination and agricultural cooperation following the recent earthquakes.
Acting President Delcy Rodríguez met with U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary Luke Lindberg to review a bilateral cooperation agenda aimed at strengthening strategic collaboration between Venezuela and the United States.

The meeting focused on coordinating joint efforts to support the recovery process following the recent earthquakes, with both sides assessing mechanisms to advance humanitarian assistance, reconstruction, and bilateral coordination in affected areas.
The U.S. delegation included John M. Barrett, Chargé d’Affaires to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and Ryan Shrum, Senior Official with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response.
Text Reads: With the aim of strengthening strategic lines of collaboration between the two nations, Acting President Delcy Rodríguez reviewed a cooperation agenda with Luke Lindberg, Under Secretary at the United States Department of Agriculture.
The meeting focused on coordinating efforts to address the recovery phases following the earthquake that occurred on June 24, highlighting the support provided by U.S. international agencies.
Under Secretary Lindberg—who also leads policies on biosecurity and international agricultural cooperation—reviewed progress in humanitarian assistance management with Venezuelan officials, with the goal of consolidating binational working mechanisms to facilitate the recovery of areas affected by the earthquakes.
Representing Venezuela were Vice Minister for Europe and North America Oliver Blanco and President of the National Assembly and head of the High Command for the Creation of Transitional Camps Jorge Rodríguez.
Lindberg, who also oversees U.S. policies on agricultural biosecurity and international cooperation, reviewed progress in humanitarian assistance efforts with Venezuelan authorities.


The discussions examined bilateral cooperation mechanisms intended to facilitate recovery in the areas affected by the earthquakes while strengthening coordination on humanitarian response.
