That figure, which represents a 56% increase in international tourism, is the result of the opening of 665 new tourist routes.

“Some of these routes include beautiful, fully renovated working-class communities that offer music, gastronomy, recreation and, above all, healthy and very safe entertainment,” the Bolivarian leader said.

With the goal of consolidating this progress, the Venezuelan president promoted a business roundtable aimed at encouraging exchanges between national and international investors. The objective is to strengthen tourism activity and establish cooperation agreements.

The text reads, “Despite sanctions, blockades and threats, tourism continues to grow in Venezuela.”

As part of the 18th International Tourism Fair in Puerto Cabello, more than 65 companies and 130 professionals from the sector presented the exportable supply of tourism-related goods and services, showcasing the country’s potential in this area.

Over the weekend, Puerto Cabello was simultaneously the venue for the 4th International Venezuelan Specialty Coffee Summit. The event included 305 international delegates from 35 countries, among them Germany, Barbados, Bolivia, China, Colombia, Cuba, Curaçao, Belarus, El Salvador, the United States, Egypt, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, South Africa, Russia and Vietnam.

These events reflect the Venezuelan government’s strategy of promoting tourism as an economic engine, combining cultural promotion with the creation of new investment opportunities.
