The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela presented the guidelines for the 2026 National Budget, highlighting that the country is at its maximum productive capacity despite external pressures and the aggressions denounced by the authorities. The information was released during the radio program “Maduro Live De Repente,” broadcast from Miraflores Palace.
In a phone call with President Nicolás Maduro, Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez emphasized that the balance of the last period has been “completely positive” and stressed that “this is a Venezuela that is producing in all sectors,” despite the “threats and aggressions” directed against the people.

77.8% of the 2026 budget will be allocated to social investment, a figure that contrasts sharply with the historical average of the Fourth Republic, where it never exceeded 40%. “It was always considered an expense, never an investment, and it was never discussed with the people,” Rodríguez stated, while highlighting that the new budget incorporates the Seven Transformations Plan, the Concrete Action Agendas (CAA), and the Popular Consultations, making it a “true participatory budget.”
President Maduro reaffirmed that this progress has been achieved “through our own efforts,” quoting the maxim of national hero José Gervasio Artigas: “Let us expect nothing from anyone but ourselves.” He also called on the people and high-ranking government officials to be “heroic in their daily lives,” producing food, industrial goods, and energy resources such as oil, gas, and petrochemicals.
In the same program, Maduro emphasized that Venezuela is undergoing a “profound, genuine, and accelerated process of territorialization of government,” in which popular participation and self-governance are being strengthened. “Governing in a democracy with those who should be governed,” the president stated, differentiating the Venezuelan model from other forms of government that, he said, act unilaterally after winning elections.
