Venezuela’s Acting President Delcy Rodriguez led a solemn floral tribute to Simón Bolívar in Paramaribo, Suriname, this Friday, reaffirming regional bonds and diplomatic ties.

The ceremony, attended by key diplomatic authorities and official delegations from both nations, underscored the historic bonds of fraternity, cooperation, and integration that unite Venezuela and Suriname under a diplomacy of peace.

This tribute to the Father of the Venezuelan Nation reaffirms the enduring relevance of the Bolivarian ideal in the region and enhances Venezuela’s international agenda focused on uniting the peoples of the South.

During the act, honors were paid to the figure and legacy of Simón Bolívar, born in Caracas in 1783, who widely respected across Latin America as the architect of independence in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and, Panama from Spanish colonialism.

The event held this Friday paid homage to the figure and legacy of the 19th-century military and political leader, emphasizing the shared commitment to consolidating sovereignty, regional solidarity, and strengthening bilateral relations among the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
