The secretary general of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, denounced on Monday, October 27, that the United States is using joint military exercises with Trinidad and Tobago, carried out off the Venezuelan coast, as a clear “provocation” amid the escalation of aggressions against Caracas.
During a press conference, the Bolivarian leader questioned the decision of Washington and Port of Spain to place the maneuvers “right in front of the Venezuelan coast” despite the availability of other areas in the Trinidadian territory.

Cabello pointed out that these exercises are the latest step in a campaign of “maximum pressure” and lies designed to fabricate a pretext and militarily attack Venezuela. The leader said that the White House has lost credibility, citing the collapse of narratives such as the extinct “Tren de Aragua” and the “Cartel of the Suns,” and compared this strategy to the spread of lies about alleged weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to justify an aggression that cost thousands of lives.
The PSUV leader confirmed that the United States’ objective continues to be the imposition of a change of government, a goal that he warned “will not be easy for them.” He stressed that the intensification of external pressure only serves to expose internal “traitors” who are betting on military aggression as a solution.
In the same vein, he referred to the opponent Leopoldo López, a fugitive from justice, for having requested invasions against the nation. Cabello emphasized that this action is contemplated in the Venezuelan Constitution as a very serious offense. In addition, he pointed out that the request to withdraw his nationality is a measure that corresponds to the constitutional provisions in force.
On the other hand, Cabello confirmed the recent captures of mercenaries and the seizure of “function manuals of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA),” reaffirming that Venezuela is on alert and that security is a “transversal axis” for the defense of national sovereignty.

The also Sectoral Vice President of Politics, Security, Citizenship and Peace of Venezuela took the opportunity to distinguish Venezuela’s actions in the fight against drug trafficking, pointing out that the country intercepts drugs without committing extrajudicial executions, a practice that he attributed to the United States.
The leader appreciated the concern expressed by the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, about regional threats, stressing that it is crucial that the largest nation in the region understands that attacking Venezuela affects the entire area.
This regional support is in addition to the “rejection by the entire world” of the interventionist and aggressive actions that the United States government has carried out in the Caribbean region.
Finally, Cabello assured that, despite the threats, the Bolivarian revolution works to preserve the peace and tranquility of all Venezuelans, and that the people continue to organize, as shown by the extraordinary results of the national popular consultations, whose next edition was called for November 23. The people participate and decide, Cabello commented, that is why we will continue to support them, he said
