The statistics describe the horror: 20,179 children, 10,427 women and 4,813 elderly people killed, as well as more than 250 journalists and 1,701 health professionals.

Two years after the start of the Israeli genocide against the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday that the number of victims stands at 67,173 dead and 169,780 wounded, including 20,179 children, 10,427 women and 4,813 elderly people, since October 7, 2023, after the deployment by the Palestinian resistance of Operation Deluge of Al-Aqsa.
The Government Media Office in Gaza said the total number of martyrs and missing people exceeds 76,600 people, including more than 9,500 Palestinians still under rubble or unaccounted for.
Most of the victims are women and minors. The Ministry of Health denounced the almost total collapse of the hospital system. Of the 38 hospitals that existed in the enclave, 25 are out of service and only 13 are partially functioning under extreme conditions.
The report details that 55% of essential medicines and 66% of medical supplies are out of stock. Hospital occupancy rates exceed 225%, a “catastrophic” figure according to health authorities.
Murderers of children, women, doctors and journalists
Since October 2023, a total of 1,701 health professionals have been killed and 362 remain detained or missing. The Israeli siege has also destroyed 103 primary health care centers and 25 oxygen plants, exacerbating the medical crisis.
Every 17 minutes, a child dies in Gaza from Israeli shrapnel, according to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Every hour a woman or a girl is murdered by the Zionist entity.
Among the most remembered massacres are those of Al-Maghazi and Nuseirat, where hundreds of civilians were killed in attacks on shelters designated by the United Nations, which are protected by international law.
The Al-Ahli hospital massacre in October 2023 caused more than 470 deaths and drew widespread international condemnation. Other tragedies, such as the Al-Fakhoura school in Jabalia and the Rafah refugee camp, highlighted the systematic pattern of attacks on civilian areas.
The total blockade imposed by Israel keeps the Gazan population on the brink of famine. There are 460 deaths from starvation or malnutrition, including 154 children, while more than 51,000 children under five years of age suffer from severe malnutrition.
Shortages of safe drinking water and lack of basic sanitation have led to outbreaks of infectious diseases, while the suspension of vaccination campaigns threatens a resurgence of polio and other epidemics.
So that the consequences of this campaign of extermination and ethnic cleansing do not transcend, the Zionist entity also murders journalists. Gaza has become the most dangerous place for the profession of communicating, with more than 250 journalists and communicators massacred.
90% of Gaza’s urban infrastructure destroyed
During the two years of Israeli aggression, more than 300,000 residential buildings have been totally or partially destroyed, representing about 90% of the Strip’s urban infrastructure. Entire neighborhoods of Gaza City, such as Rimal, Tal al-Hawa and Shuja’iyya, were reduced to rubble after weeks of continuous bombardment.
Gaza’s Ministry of Public Works reported that more than 60,000 housing units have been completely demolished, while 150,000 were left uninhabitable. An estimated 1.9 million Palestinians—85 percent of the population—are internally displaced, many living in makeshift tents or ruins.
The U.S. and European nations, accomplices of the extermination
Despite interim measures issued by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in January 2024, which ordered Israel to prevent acts of genocide and allow humanitarian aid to enter, the siege and attacks continue.
Israel maintains its military offensive with political and military support from the United States, ignoring multiple UN resolutions demanding an immediate ceasefire and an end to the blockade. The Zionist entity is also backed by numerous European nations.
Between 2020 and 2024, the U.S. supplied 60 percent of the weapons sold to Israel, including fighter jets, armored vehicles, and guided bombs. Since 1946, Washington has given $228 billion to the Zionist entity.
In the last five years, Germany supplied a third of the weapons imported by Israel, mainly frigates, torpedoes, submarines, armored vehicles and anti-tank weapons. It is followed by Italy, which contributes approximately 1% of Israeli armaments.
Its legislation prohibits it from selling weapons to countries in conflict, but it continued to send them after the siege began in October 2023. France, Spain and the United Kingdom also sell arms to the Zionist entity, although together they account for less than 0.1% of the weapons it receives.
