On Tuesday, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called for preventing possible Israeli sabotage of the agreement reached to end the U.S. war on Iran.

“It is imperative to prevent possible attempts at sabotage through which Israel could seek to derail the process and rhetoric that could poison the atmosphere of peace during this delicate process until the final signing has taken place,” Fidan said from Moscow, where he met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“Israel’s attitude in the region is not the problem of just a few countries; it is a problem for the entire world. If Israel were confronted with a diplomatic effort by the whole world, it would not be able to take any steps,” he added.
“Countries must be sincere, call wrong what is wrong, and provide the necessary responses. In that case, Israel will not be able to take steps,” the Turkish diplomat insisted.
Fidan also highly praised Pakistan’s mediation efforts and the support provided by Qatar and Saudi Arabia to diplomatic initiatives aimed at resolving the U.S. war on Iran.
“Keeping the Strait of Hormuz open to the safe, free and uninterrupted passage of all vessels, as it was before the war, is of vital importance not only for regional stability, but also for global energy security and international trade,” he stressed.
On Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also welcomed with satisfaction the U.S.-Iran agreement, describing it as an important development for peace and tranquility in the Middle East.
“I wholeheartedly hope that this news, which the entire world has needed for a long time, will help pave the way for lasting peace and security in our region,” he said.
Pakistan announced that Iran and the United States will sign a memorandum of understanding in Switzerland on June 19 to bring all hostilities to an end, although the specific details of the agreement remain unknown. This peace plan includes Iran’s reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the end of the U.S. maritime blockade.
