Venezuela closed the 18th International Tourism Fair (FITVEN) this Sunday in Puerto Cabello, an event that brought together delegates from 35 nations. Simultaneously, President Nicolás Maduro was leading the Fourth International Meeting of Venezuelan Specialty Coffee in Caracas.
From the capital, the president highlighted that the South American country is consolidating its commitment to productive and tourism development, with a projected 56% increase in international visitor arrivals through October 2025.

During his address, the head of state emphasized that “the greatest natural wealth we have is this productive people, these wonderful people who love the country.”
“It is the greatest, unparalleled wealth, one that transcends historical times, because one day the oil will run out and Venezuela will still be here with these young people producing coffee, meat, potatoes, artificial intelligence, technology, even sending rockets to the moon,” the president said.
The 18th edition of the International Tourism Fair, officially held in Puerto Cabello, was attended by 305 international delegates from 35 countries.
Among the represented nations were Germany, Barbados, Bolivia, China, Colombia, Cuba, Curaçao, Belarus, El Salvador, the United States, Egypt, Grenada, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, South Africa, Vietnam, Russia, Iraq, Iran, Thailand, Serbia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Indonesia, Malaysia, Palestine, Suriname, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Haiti, Angola, Nigeria, and Sudan. This broad participation demonstrates Venezuela’s openness to the world and its desire to share its culture and natural beauty.
The president emphasized that the country is committed to cultivating the wealth of values, awareness, and spiritual unity, factors that make the nation “invincible.” “One day, gas will no longer be a source of wealth because it will run out. Gold perhaps not, but the greatest wealth a country can cultivate is the wealth of its values, its awareness, its spiritual unity, which makes it invincible,” he stated.
The tourism, agro-industrial, and agricultural sectors are progressing “step by step” as projected and planned, the president affirmed, adding: “We are building a new economy with broad productive forces, supported by thirteen sectors that will make us a progressive and indestructible nation.”
On this path of development, the country is guided by the words of the liberator José Gervasio Artigas: “Let us expect nothing but from ourselves.” This philosophy drives the construction of an indestructible nation, based on intelligence, manual labor, and collective decisions that strengthen the nation’s conscience and spiritual unity.
