‘We are in the best moment of the Bolivarian Revolution,’ he said.

On Monday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called for fine-tuning the “Five-by-Five Machinery” to ensure that Bolivarian political forces end their campaign with a strong mobilizing effect ahead of the May 25 elections, in which Venezuelans will choose new governors and legislators.

“Let’s strengthen the five-by-five forces to win on the 25th!” he said, referring to the complementary structure of various levels of grassroots organization.

In this context, Maduro explained that the first machinery is composed of street leaders, community leaders, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), and the Bolivar-Chavez Battle Units. The second machinery consists of communal circuits; the third includes members of the Local Supply and Production Committees (CLAP); the fourth machinery comprises defenders of national sovereignty; and the fifth involves the social missions and the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar.

“The people are in the streets proving that cohesion and unity are possible! The mobilizations must be full of joy, enthusiasm and spirit,” he stressed during a meeting of the VEN25+ Campaign Command, where he called on citizens to renew optimism in the Bolivarian revolutionary project.

“We are finalizing details to ensure that the May 25 electoral process takes place peacefully. Starting today, we begin our campaign closures with maximum optimism, faith, and mobilization in the streets,” he said.

“Nationally and internationally, we must win the communications battle before, during and after May 25. So far, we have been censored and internationally blacked out,” Maduro added, denouncing what he called a media blockade promoted by the transnational right.

“Votes, yes! Criminal fascists, no! Votes, yes! Peace, yes! The right to vote, yes! And whoever wins, let them win!” the Venezuelan president emphasized.

Maduro also highlighted the importance of defending security, peace and stability at all times, stressing the need for unity between popular, police and military forces.

“We are in the best moment of the Bolivarian Revolution,” he said, underscoring popular mobilization and youth participation in what will be Venezuela’s 32nd election.
