The new military support packages, under the “Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List” initiative, will cover critical equipment, including long-range 155mm artillery shells, missiles for HIMARS systems, and guided bombs.
Norway will collaborate with Germany, Poland and the Netherlands in delivering the aid. The initiative is a program through which NATO allies fund military assistance for Ukraine drawn directly from the U.S. weapon stockpiles. The Norwegian government also pledged to maintain a high level of support for Ukraine in 2026.
Previously, on Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged transparency in ongoing efforts to end the Ukraine crisis.
“What matters is that everything is fair and transparent. That there are no games played behind Ukraine’s back. That nothing is decided without Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on X.
He noted that the most sensitive things and the most difficult issues in the peace talks concern territories, frozen Russian assets, and security guarantees for Ukraine. Negotiating teams will continue working on these topics, he said.
The Ukrainian president also emphasized that there are no simple solutions to the crisis, and underscored that he is prepared to make necessary decisions.
